Village The Village will be a meeting point and a space of participation of the civil society. In short a door to the participation of the citizenship in general. We want to offer sportive, recreational and reflection activities. The Village wants to be the hub of the EuroGames out of the sport competitions and a lively space for the whole city. The schedule of the Village will be Friday the 25 through Saturday 26 of July from 11am to 8pm. This space will be placed on the Maria Cristina Avenue (from “Plaça Espanya” to the fountains of Montjuïc). The idea is to divide the global space into three areas with different contents and programming. In an end you will find a big stage with a screen in the background to offer visual support of what happens in the Village. In the space of the stage they will be placed mainly the master class and a VIP area or for being accredited. In the central area of the avenue there will be a food court and a tent where the entities will offer workshops. These entities will have their stands where they will be able to introduce themselves. Also there will be a reception area for elder people, games for children, internet area and space for massages. Finally, in the south zone of the avenue, the tents will be placed for sponsors and collaborators, information and other services.

Evening Meeting Point Evening Meeting Point: Gaixample, gay neighborhood of our city, placed in full. We will find a meeting point on Friday evening for all of those who have not go the women party. Till 1:00 am the meeting point will be at C/ Enric Granados between C/ Diputació and C/ Consell de Cent.
Activities Inside the Village there will be a great variety of activities. There will be a space with activities for the younger people in the family, another for the older ones and a place where they can participate in activities together. Different gyms of Barcelona offer a master class of distinct activities so the whole family can spend a great time together while exercising. Apart from the sporting activities there will also be music. During the two day you will find the following programs absolutely free:

Over the course of 6 years singing e-j pop for television series’, movies, videogames etc. Martha has opened her path in the world of Dance, working with well known producers such as Victor Ark, Oscar Salguero, Andermay, White Sky…with themes that will give people a lot to talk about this summer, with some already being played on CD’s such as Ibiza Mix 2008 and Blanco y Negro Mix 2008. You can see her show directly on the main stage at the Village of the EuroGames, in the Passeig de la Reina Maria Cristina on Friday July 25th at 11:15 am. Don’t Miss It!
Free country music concert with Tony Brass. We will be expecting you on Friday July 25th, 2008 at 1:30pm on the main stage of the Village of EuroGames (Passeig de la Reina Maria Cristina, between Pl. Espanya and les Fonts de Montjuïc). Tony Brass offers a new view from the country music scene out to the public. Surrounded by dancers and a chorus, bet on a dynamic spectacle, full of vibrant strength. The show is has a mix of different choreographed events with different plans, combined with moves typically connected to jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance. Surely the show will leave you with your jaw dropped! Don’t miss it!
The kids group Macedonia will have a show during the EuroGames Barcelona 08, on Saturday July 26th at 12:45pm, at the Village situated in the Passeig de la Reina Maria Cristian. It will be free and open to all who want to attend, bring the whole family. We’ll be waiting!
