Tarragona supports the EuroGames |

Last week, Pere Cruells and Gemma Sánchez, members of the EuroGames Barcelona 08 Organizing Committee, visited Tarragona city hall to present the EuroGames to the local media. They were welcome by Victoria Pelegrin, Equality Counselor, and José Cosano, Sports Counselor, both from the Tarragona city hall.
The meeting was in the nice building of the Tarragona city hall, in front of the local media and some members of the H20 group, the LGTB association from the area of Tarragona and Reus, who helped us organizing the event.
During the event, Victoria Pelegrin emphasized about the opportunity EuroGames gives to the society for equal rights for men and women, and she explained that Tarragona wants to support the EuroGames because the EuroGames have been set as a model for giving the same opportunities to all people. She observed the importance of the visibility of the LGBT community. Following her, José Cosano focused on the fact of taking adventage of the sport to educate people in a social way, not only for LGBT issues, but for many other social affairs.
